After modifying this simple tutorial, I succeeded in making a turband/headband! 

However, unlike the cute girl in the video, I didn’t have stretchy fabric. So to compensate, I just sewed an elastic band at the end of it, like this:

I also did not have a sewing machine, so I had to hand sew all of it. It really wasn’t a big deal though, considering how little fabric there was. The total time was about 20 minutes, and it’s definitely an easier DIY.
